Happy Independence Day!
Elise stated –
“On this Independence Day, join me in celebrating our greatest treasure as
Americans: the gift of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
As we reflect on the countless lives sacrificed in the pursuit of liberty
from tyranny from the American Revolutionary War battles that took place in
Upstate New York and the North Country to the brave men and women stationed at
Fort Drum today, let us vow never to take our freedom for granted. With freedom
comes great responsibility.
Our courageous Founding Fathers set a powerful example that through the best
of times and the most challenging times, we must fearlessly continue to fight
for America’s prosperity and safeguard the American Dream for future
generations.
God Bless you and God Bless the United States of America. Happy Independence
Day!”

Elise stated –
“PACKED house in Erie County with my colleague and friend

We will WIN her home county Erie County on our way to SAVE NEW YORK!"
Rep. Nick Langworthy stated –
“This truly could be our last shot at saving New York — but it’s worth
fighting for. This is a critical county to win statewide. If Elise moves

Elise Introduces Legislation to Block Terrorists and Criminals from Parole
Permitted Under Far Left Policy
Elise stated –
“The Worst Governor in America Kathy Hochul embraced and fully supported Joe
Biden’s catastrophic open border policies. She has put all New Yorkers at risk
by prioritizing illegals first and New Yorkers LAST with her sanctuary state
policies.
I am announcing I am co-leading the SAFER at the Border Act with Congressman
Nick Langworthy to keep dangerous criminal illegals from terrorizing New York
and our nation’s streets. The legislation closes loopholes that were exploited
by Kathy Hochul’s failed policies and Joe Biden’s reckless abuse of immigration
parole.
Terrorists, transnational criminals, and dangerous foreign nationals invaded
our sovereign nation under the corrupt and failed leadership of Kathy Hochul.
We must put law-abiding New Yorkers first and secure our borders.”
Congressman Nick Langworthy stated –
“My constituents are fed up with the flood of murderers, terrorists, and
dangerous individuals that poured into our communities across New York State—
all because of the reckless, failed open-border policies of the Biden
administration. A nation without secure borders is a nation in decline, and
it’s time we take bold, decisive action to reverse the chaos of the last four
years.”

Elise Exposes Columbia’s Failure to Protect Jewish Students
This week, Elise and Education & Workforce Committee Chairman Tim Walberg
(R-MI) sent a letter to Columbia University Acting President Claire Shipman
exposing the university for failing to protect Jewish students from antisemitic
harassment, requesting clarification on a variety of concerning text and emails
sent by Acting President Shipman, and addressing Columbia’s potential
violations of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act.
In the letter, Stefanik and Walberg raised grave concerns about several of
Shipman's emails and text messages discovered in Columbia’s disclosures that
clearly attempt to diminish and trivialize the pervasive culture of
antisemitism on Columbia’s campus, raising questions about Columbia's
compliance with Title VI.
Elise & Rep. Tim Walberg stated –
"The Committee on Education and Workforce is continuing to investigate
antisemitism at Columbia University, including whether there was or is a
hostile environment against Jewish students on Columbia’s campus and whether
the university is fulfilling its obligation under Title VI of the Civil Rights
Act of 1964 (Title VI) to end any harassment, eliminate any hostile environment
and its effects, and prevent any harassment from recurring.
As antisemitism continues to rise across the United States, it is critical
that our institutions of higher education have leaders who firmly understand
and carry out their obligation to protect Jewish students. The Committee is
therefore seeking clarity regarding several messages you sent that appear to
downplay and even mock the pervasive culture of antisemitism on Columbia’s
campus. Obtaining clarity on these statements will aid the Committee in
considering whether potential legislative changes, including legislation that
specifically creates further accountability for campus leaders, are needed.”
