Panelists:
Haig Hovaness is a peace activist in New
York with a professional background in information technology. He is
the Co-Chair of GPAX. He has written and made presentations on a
variety of defense-related foreign policy and media issues. Haig will
be the moderator for this webinar. Alison
Weir is an American activist and writer known
for her interest in the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. She is the
founder and executive director of the nonprofit organization If
Americans Knew (IAK), president of the Council for the National
Interest (CNI), and author of Against Our Better
Judgment: The Hidden History of How the U.S. Was Used to Create
Israel. She is known as a Middle East expert and critic of U.S.
media bias in coverage of Middle East events.
Philip
Giraldi is an American columnist, commentator
and security consultant. He is the Executive Director of the Council
for the National Interest, a role he has held since 2010. He was
previously employed as an intelligence officer for the CIA, before
transitioning to private consulting. Giraldi is a founding member and
current member of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for
Sanity. Noura Khouri is a
diaspora Palestinian currently residing in California. She has worked
for the past two decades as a human rights activist, campaign
strategist and a community organizer. Noura lived for 2 years each in
Palestine and Egypt, where she witnessed the devastating impacts of US
foreign policy on the region. She currently serves on the National
Committee of Al-Awda Palestine Right to
Return. Brittany Vesey is member
of the Green Party of Missouri where she participates in local
activities supporting minorities in Kansas City. She is committed to
opposing U.S. involvement in genocide and violations of international
law in Gaza and in other troubled regions of the world.
