Republicans built a $450 million prison camp for immigrants in just 8 days. They’re calling it “Alligator Alcatraz.”

Let’s call this what it is: a modern-day concentration camp for migrants.

They raided FEMA funds to build it, money meant to protect people in crisis. Caged cells are already flooding after hundreds of people were sent there for indefinite detention.

The Florida GOP is already hawking merch with the jail’s tasteless nickname, while some far-right voices like Laura Loomer are openly suggesting feeding immigrants to alligators.

Not only that, but Loomer is suggesting they send ALL Latino Americans, not just undocumented immigrants, to this prison camp. This is the far-right roadmap: mass detention, forced removal, and violence.

They aren’t even hiding it anymore, John: far-right Republicans want to detain and deport an entire community of people in this country.

It’s genocidal, and we cannot let them get away with it.
