Hey John, it's Jacki, Gil’s wife.

Today is our 20th wedding anniversary! 💝

To celebrate, I asked his team if I could ask you a small favor. To make this more interesting, I will try to tell you about it in 20 sentences. (That’s 4 sentences so far!)

I’m so proud of everything Gil has done. From being an amazing father to our two sons, serving in the U.S. Navy, and starting our foundation together, Gil has dedicated his life to public service.

Now as Congressman for California's 31st Congressional District, his passion remains the same:

✅ He fights for veterans because he knows what it means to wear the uniform. 

✅ He fights for students because he knows education changes lives.

✅ He fights for working families because he remembers how hard his parents worked, his mom as a cafeteria worker and his father a Vietnam veteran.

✅ He fights for the rights of women, girls and families, championing for abortion care and reproductive health as a right, not a privilege.

✅ He cares so much about our boys' safety in their schools, which is why he's championed for gun safety reform

John, Gil doesn’t give up, even when it’s tough. He listens to people, he shows up, and makes sure to do good, even when no one’s watching.

I wanted to share with you a bit more about the Gil I know and love, and even with all of the craziness in Congress, I know he'll keep fighting for everyone in our communities.

Now for my favor: the best anniversary gift I could ask for is to see Gil surrounded by people who believe in his vision for the San Gabriel Valley.
