Yesterday, we celebrated our nation's 249th anniversary. And
while preparations are already underway for our 250th, we can't
overlook the year ahead of us in the fight to preserve religious
freedom.

This year represents an opportunity to return our First Freedom to
what our Founding Fathers intended it to be.

Our Founders made religious freedom the foundational cornerstone that
keeps all of our constitutional freedoms from collapsing. They knew
our nation wouldn't survive as a representative republic without
a healthy and respected First Freedom.

But to return to the Founders' intent, we still have much work
to do.

Let me take a quick moment to tell you what's on the horizon in
not only the fight to defend religious liberty, but also to expand the
rights of all Americans to express their faith.

For years, we have been bullied and pressured to be silent on matters
of faith.

But now, people all across our country are starting to understand the
importance of boldly standing for faith.

Simply put, we lose what we aren't willing to protect.

That's why First Liberty is first in the fight when religious
freedom is attacked. We will fight as long as necessary to defend our
right to live out our faith.

Our commitment to the fight for faith has never been stronger.

It is my hope and prayer as we move towards our 250th year that we
will work together to bring lasting change to our country and secure
the blessings of liberty for generations to come.

This is a pivotal moment that will determine America's future.
