Patriot,

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what it means to be American.

Not the politics. Not the noise. But the heart of it.

I fought for this country. I bled for it. I gave up both of my legs protecting my brothers-in-arms on a battlefield halfway across the world because I believed that America was worth it.

And I still do.

But there’s a movement out there that wants us to be ashamed. Ashamed of our history. Ashamed of our patriotism. Ashamed of our belief in freedom, faith and personal responsibility.

This year, the Left is literally boycotting Independence Day!

I’m not ashamed. I’m proud.
