Hi there,

Today, the team at Voting Rights Fund (VRF) wishes you a happy 4th of July. As
we celebrate our freedoms and privileges as Americans, we also take a moment to
reflect on the indelible right that sustains our democracy: the right to vote.

This right has evolved over generations. Our country has struggled, fought,
and bled to ensure that all Americans, regardless of race or sex, have a voice
in our political system. On this day, we at VRF want to honor our most
essential freedom: the freedom of self-determination. Protecting and
strengthening this freedom requires vigilance, but today, we simply ask you to
reflect on the connection between your right to vote and the freedoms we
cherish in our democracy.

As you celebrate our nation’s birthday, we invite you to take a moment to be
thankful for the family members, friends, and countless advocates who have
fought for the rights of others. We also encourage you to stand with VRF and
our partners in this ongoing work. The protection of civil liberties is a
struggle waged every day by communities across our country. We stand on the
shoulders of giants, and their legacy inspires us to carry the fight forward.

From all of us at Voting Rights Fund, thank you for your support. We wish you
a joyful and safe Fourth of July, and we encourage you to use your freedoms to
stand against the deliberate erosion of the rights of others.
