The furious outburst of the skies led to the tragic demise of at least three individuals, as reported by ABC’s New York affiliate, WABC. One fatality occurred in North Plainfield, while Plainfield — a town seated roughly 30 miles from the bustling heart of New York — witnessed the heartbreaking loss of two souls.

The deceased in Plainfield were identified as Rocco Sansone, aged 79, and Brian Ernesto Valladares, 25. Their lives were abruptly ended when a towering tree, succumbing to the storm’s merciless force, crashed down upon their vehicle.
