Last night, I attended Rise Up Frederick's Candlelight Vigil and participated in a reading of our Declaration of Independence.

Today, we mark the Declaration's 249th anniversary. I encourage you to re-read it, reflect on its meaning, and draw strength from it as we continue the fight for everyone's unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and our collective right to self government.
