Today, as fireworks light up the New Mexico sky and families gather for parades and cookouts, I’m taking a quiet moment to reflect.
As a 35th-generation New Mexican, I’m thinking about my parents, who proudly served our country in uniform.
I’m thinking about the central promise of America: That this is a place where every family should have the opportunity to thrive. And that we can always strive to be better, more just, more inclusive, and more kind.
So today, let’s celebrate with a renewed commitment to one another. To our neighbors. To the land we cherish. And to building a future where everyone can thrive.
