The 4th of July is meant to celebrate freedom. But for too many of us — workers, parents, young folks, and Texans trying to survive — it's just another reminder that those promises aren’t for everyone.
While corporations rake in profits and politicians use fear to divide us, the people who keep this country running are still fighting to be heard. We’re tired of being told to wait our turn.
Here in Texas, we at Ground Game are on the front lines of that fight every day, working at the local level to pass policies that actually make life better, like decriminalizing marijuana, raising wages, kicking big money out of local campaigns, and defending direct democracy. In just four years, we’ve built a base of hundreds of thousands of Texans and won again and again on policy that meets the moment. And we’re not slowing down.
This Independence Day, we’re fighting for something bold: A future built for us, by us.
