I hope you had a wonderful week. I am grateful to serve you all in the 119th Congress. Read below to see what I’ve been working on this week.

Celebrating Independence Day

Today, we celebrate Independence Day. 249 years ago, our Founding Fathers in the Second Continental Congress formally adopted the Declaration of Independence. For nearly two and a half centuries, the United States has stood as a beacon of freedom and liberty. Our great Republic is worth fighting for, and I will always defend Americans’ freedom.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

“A Capitol Fourth” celebrates 45 years as America’s national Independence Day tradition, airing live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol on July 4 from 8:00-9:30 pm EDT/5:00-6:30 pm PDT. The celebration will be livestreamed here.

Voting to Send President Trump’s Big, Beautiful Bill to the President’s Deske

This week, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 1, the One Big, Beautiful Bill Act.

I voted to advance President Trump’s One Big, Beautiful Bill through the House of Representatives and to the President’s desk. I have worked directly with President Trump to advance his policy priorities, and I will continue to advance the America First mandate he was elected to deliver.

When President Trump signs the One Big, Beautiful Bill into law, he will be extending the historic tax cuts from his Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, and expanding them to reduce taxes on tipped wages, overtime, Social Security, and car loans. These tax cuts lower the economic burden on working-class American families, empower small businesses, and bring back jobs to our shores. The Big, Beautiful Bill also secures necessary funding for President Trump and his Cabinet to keep up their work in securing our border. 

My colleagues in the House Freedom Caucus and I worked diligently with President Trump and House and Senate Leadership to push for significant spending reductions and reforms to Medicaid and SNAP benefits. While there is always room to improve, the historic tax cuts and reforms in this bill move us in the right direction and will power our economy. 

I will always stand shoulder-to-shoulder with President Trump as he continues to fight the bloated bureaucracy left behind by years of anti-American oligarchy. The fight to restore fiscal sanity has only just begun.

Defending Arizona’s Ranchers

I signed on as an original cosponsor of Rep. Paul Gosar’s (R-AZ) Enhancing Safety for Animals (ESA) Act. Rep. Gosar’s bill removes the nonessential experimentation of the Mexican Gray Wolf from the Endangered Species Act. 

The Mexican Gray Wolf is destroying the livelihood of western ranchers by slaughtering their cattle. Because of its status as an endangered species–a falsehood perpetuated by the Biden Administration and environmental groups–ranchers cannot protect their herds from these predators. Earlier this year, the House Committee on Natural Resources Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations examined a single case of a mated pair of Mexican wolves that were responsible for more than 15 livestock depredations in less than one month. The gray wolf population in the United States is now 24 times greater than the threshold for an endangered species, and it’s time to remove them from the list. 

Rep. Gosar’s ESA Act will allow Arizona ranchers to protect their cattle without fear of repercussions from the federal government. Cattle are a vital part of Arizona’s economy, and Congress must ensure that ranchers are able to protect their herds from dangerous predators.

For the second straight month, President Trump's Border Patrol released ZERO illegal aliens into our country.

This is what happens when a President takes control and disincentivizes illegal immigration.

The Left’s Insurrection Against the Rule of Law: Op-Ed

Under Joe Biden and Alejandro Mayorkas, millions of illegal aliens were enticed and permitted to enter our country. Once here, millions were released into the country without vetting and without authorities keeping track of them. And, as it turns out, many of them, perhaps more than one million of them, have criminal records, are accused of crimes (other than the crime of illegally entering the country), are gang members, or are affiliated with foreign terrorist organizations.

The radicals ignored the law to let them in and now are obstructing the enforcement of the law to prevent their removal. The legacy of Biden and Mayorkas will be a legacy of an attempt to destroy America by destroying the rule of law.
