When I think about 1776, I imagine a relentless fight for something better. The kind of ideas that keep you up at night—not only because they’re new and unheard of, but because they’re bigger than us.
Â
Our Founding Fathers were trying to pull off something no other nation ever had. There was no blueprint and no place to go for a little friendly advice. It was just a bunch of folks with grit who had a vision of liberty and justice for all—and they were ready to lay down their lives for a taste of it.
Â
Ronald Reagan once said, “Democracy is worth dying for because it’s the most deeply honorable form of government ever devised by man.”
Amazing how it still holds true today, huh?
There are so many people on the Left who want to chip away at our patriotism and freedom, and we can’t let that happen. We have to continue to dream big like the Founding Fathers did. After all, the 4th of July is America’s “No Kings Day.” They dared to live free, and now, we have to fight like heck to protect what was passed down to us.
We aren’t perfect, but we sure are promising—and the American experiment is worth every drop of blood, sweat, and tears.

A few months ago, I said I thought President Trump and his cabinet picks would serve in a capacity that would make our Founding Fathers proud—and I still believe that.Â
We’re 249 years into this thing, but I have a feeling it’s only the beginning of what we can achieve together.
Happy Birthday, America. Let’s keep going.
