Washington, DC – The U.S. House voted to approve the Senate Amendment to H.R. 1, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, today. This legislation now moves to the President’s desk for signature. ConservAmerica congratulates the Trump administration, Republican leadership, and Members who negotiated the package and brought it to final passage.
ConservAmerica President Jeff Kupfer released the following statement:
“As an organization, we are focused on unleashing American energy in an environmentally responsible way. Along those lines, we have stressed the importance of maintaining certain clean energy tax credits not only to achieve American energy dominance and to protect private sector investment, but to ensure accessibility to affordable and reliable energy. The final version of the bill allows some continued usage of the clean electricity credits, essential at a time of rising electricity demand. Compared to the original version, it also lengthens the phase-out of the clean hydrogen credit and increases the carbon capture and storage tax credit – key tools for a long-term energy strategy.
“We appreciate the efforts of the Roosevelt Conservation Caucus members and others who helped to shape the final version of H.R. 1. This is by no means a perfect bill, but Members who understand that a healthy economy and a healthy environment can go hand-in-hand were able to make progress towards achieving affordable and durable energy solutions for the American people. We look forward to working with Congress and the Trump administration to support reasonable implementation of the bill and an ‘all-of-the-above’ energy future. There is still much to do, such as improving an outdated and burdensome permitting system and promoting continued technological innovation, and we intend to continue to be involved.”
