US states passed over 20 laws protecting all of us across the world from
AI abuse last year alone.

Basic protections from things like AI scams targeting the elderly and
cyberbullying and deep fakes aimed at young girls.

Now tech billionaires and Republicans are trying to undo all of it with
something Donald Trump is calling “The Big Beautiful Bill.” They’re using
a provision that removes 42 billion dollars of federal grants if even one
state AI regulation is enforced.

We can stop them. We need just four Republicans to remove this dangerous
piece of the Bill in the coming days.

A massive petition scrolling on mobile billboard trucks circling the US
capital can show them they need to flip.

New York just passed a law banning deepfakes of children. California
passed a law stopping AI generated robocalls scams. Utah just banned AI
generated child pornography.

All of these basic protections are under threat.

And since most AI technology we interact with is made in the US, this
exposes all of us to the worst kind of AI with no hope of protection.

We’ve pressured lawmakers to get tougher on Big Tech before, like when Ekō
members pushed EU leaders to pass the Digital Services Act. Let’s do it
again and stop this disastrous plan before it’s too late.
