Just this month, Donald Trump called for the arrest of Governor Gavin Newsom — a stunning escalation in his campaign of political vengeance. This isn’t idle talk. This is a man with a deep bench of loyalists in Congress, a compliant GOP, and a track record of using power to punish his critics.
Now, Republicans are watching to see if Democrats will rise up… or sit this one out.
That’s why this FEC deadline matters so much. It’s the first public filing since Trump made his threat — and Republicans will comb through every line to gauge whether Democrats are energized, or asleep at the wheel.

* If we flip just one or two, we likely take back the House Majority.
But the GOP knows that too — and they’re spending millions to hold the line. They’ve even launched attack ads against our vulnerable Democrats — over a year before the election .
That’s why it’s critical that our FEC report shows the strength of our grassroots team.
If Republicans open our filing and see a sluggish number, they’ll pounce . But if they see thousands of Californians donating to fight back — we send a message Trump can’t ignore.
