Good Trouble Lives On!

Good Trouble Lives On is a national day of nonviolent action to respond to the attacks posed on our civil and human rights by the Trump administration and to remind them that in America, the power lies with the people.

On July 17, the anniversary of Congressman John Lewis’s passing, we’re taking action across the country to defend our democracy and carry forward his legacy of Good Trouble.

When: Thursday, July 17th
Where: Robert F. Stephens Courthouse Plaza (Lexington, KY)

  • NATIONAL: MONDAYS AT MITCH'S - JUNE 30TH
    Join Peaceful Bluegrass Resistance for a protest near Mitch McConnell’s Local Office at the 
    Intersection of Harrodsburg and New Circle Road (outside the circle) from 7:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Click here to check for cancellations.
     
  • NATIONAL: SUPPORT OUR VETERANS AT THE VA - JULY 2ND
    Join Peaceful Bluegrass Resistance for a weekly protest from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the VA Medical Center (2250 Leestown Road, Lexington, KY). Click here to check for cancellations.

     
  • NATIONAL: RUSH HOUR PROTEST - JULY 3RD
    Join Peaceful Bluegrass Resistance for a rush hour protest from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the intersection of Nicholasville Road and Reynolds Road in Lexington, KY (

  • NATIONAL: CALL YOUR MEMBERS OF CONGRESS
    Call your members of Congress and let them know how you feel about topics that most concern you. The Indivisible website's section Take Action Now and the 5 Calls website provide up-to-date talking points and information.

     
  • STATE: DONATE TO HELP STORM VICTIMS
    If you're interested in donating to help storm victims in Kentucky, you can contribute to the Team Kentucky Storm Relief Fund.
