Folks, I know you’re busy so I’ll try and keep this quick.
I’ve been thinking: in my time in politics, there has never been anything
as challenging, bizarre, and chaotic as the second Trump administration.
Trump holding a $45 million military parade on his birthday… Trump
refusing to fire Pete Hegseth… Trump backing the largest cuts to Medicaid
in history to fund tax breaks for the richest Americans.
But do you know what I’m realizing is even more bizarre? How many of my
Republican colleagues in the Senate stay silent through it all. How they
put Trump above the courts, the Constitution, even above their voters.
If my Republican colleagues can’t find their voice and speak out against
this dangerous chaos, they prove that taking back the Senate for Democrats
is the only way we can hold Trump accountable.
