All of us here on Team Lizzie know it’s been a tough week for those of us who care deeply about what is happening in our country.  Between the Supreme Court decisions announced this week, the terrible bill making its way on Capitol Hill, and the daily insanity from the Trump administration, it can feel like too much.

But we also know how important it is to hold onto hope and keep working for progress.  After all, that’s what got us here in the first place—seeing the possibility of what we could do and signing up to do it.  And we say "do our best" because—let’s be honest—staying positive in this moment isn’t always easy!

So, before we ask you to contribute toward our end-of-quarter fundraising goal before Monday’s FEC deadline, we want to follow our own advice and share a few bright spots from this month:

• More than 5 million people in over 2,100 towns and cities took part in the “No Kings Day” protests, one of the largest protests in American history, sending a clear message against President Trump’s actions and policies.
   
• President Trump’s net approval rating has plummeted because Lizzie and House Democrats are working with people across the country to make sure people know how harmful his policies are.  Two recent polls show it at the lowest level of his second term—proof that what we’re doing is working.
   
• Democracy Summer has officially kicked off, and we are helping the next generation pick up the baton in this relay.  We’re proud to be part of this internship program, helping train and inspire the next generation of political organizers and leaders.

We hope this good news brings a little light to your day—because it certainly helps us stay motivated to keep up the fight.
