John, Cory did not hold back in this week’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.

Emil Bove is a Trump-world nominee for the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, a lifetime appointment with jurisdiction over important cases in New Jersey.

And Bove is exactly the type of candidate Donald Trump wants in these important judicial seats: Someone who follows Donald Trump’s orders first, and the rule of law second.

As a Justice Department official, Bove allegedly told his team to ignore court orders and mislead judges to execute Trump’s agenda. He offered promotions to Justice Department lawyers who followed his orders.

John, Bove’s short tenure in the Justice Department has been marked by hyper-partisanship, a blatant disregard for the rule of law, and a mass exodus of career lawyers who could not stand the politicization of the department.

Bove is unqualified — and we need leaders like Cory Booker in the Senate to continue to question these appointees and hold them accountable to the Constitution and the will of the American people.

If Trump has his way, over the next four years, our government will be full of Trump-world accomplices willing to do anything the president asks.
