Every day, Planned Parenthood receives more than $2 million in taxpayer dollars. This totaled a staggering $792.2 million in 2023–2024 alone!

That’s your money. And it has been funding abortion.

But it will stop.

Yesterday, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of South Carolina in Medina v. Planned Parenthood South Atlantic. This is a resounding victory for pro-life Americans nationwide.

What does this mean?

It means that South Carolina can defund Planned Parenthood and other abortion businesses deemed unqualified to receive Medicaid reimbursement without the risk of federal court litigation.  Those funds can now be redirected to authentic women's healthcare, filling gaps in the State's public health system and supporting qualified health centers giving women real support...and not quick, deadly solutions.

Americans United for Life was an integral partner in this case, filing a powerful amicus brief on behalf of Medina voicing support for the right of states to defund abortion providers and letting them determine what your tax dollars fund.  

Now, more states can move forward with their plans to defund Planned Parenthood. AUL's legal and policy experts will be there to provide them with the guidance and support necessary to secure critical defunding victories in the states that will save millions of lives.
