Many of you have been asking me, "Why are you raising money right now? You should be focused on taking on the Republican Rip-Off."

The truth is, this work is one of the ways we are taking on the Republican Rip-Off. Right now, we need to do all we can to take back the House in 2026. The chaos, confusion, and damage of the Republican Rip-Off are the result of losing the elections in 2024. We lost the House, the Senate, and the White House, and we cannot lose again in 2026.

The current Republican majority has gone all-in on the Trump agenda to slash veterans services, Social Security, school funding, SNAP benefits, disaster relief, workplace safety, clean air and water, uncontaminated food, and more to fund a massive giveaway to the wealthiest corporations and individuals in America. While I am always continuing to seek ways to stand up against the Republican Rip-Off, one of the most important steps right now is to ensure we win in 2026.

Republican leadership has its eye on Washington. Please donate before our end-of-quarter deadline to make sure we can hold this seat, along with helping win other seats to take back the majority in 2026. In Washington, Republicans are targeting Representative Marie Gluesenkamp Perez's seat in the 2026 elections. Representative Gluesenkamp Perez won her reelection in 2024 despite the district also going to President Trump; the work she did to overcome the circumstances is the work we also need to ensure wins in 2026.

We have to learn from the losses in 2024, hold on to the wins, and, more importantly, double down on our efforts to win more in 2026. I hear your concerns, and protecting the values of Northwest Washington is at the forefront of my work, and that includes laying the groundwork for wins in 2026. We cannot combat the Republican Rip-Off effectively without ensuring major victories in our next election.
