Happy Juneteenth! Today commemorates the 155th anniversary of the full emancipation of enslaved people in the United States.

HER Time joins in the celebration of freedom, resilience, and history of Black Americans. We honor those who fought for freedom and acknowledge that we must still fight to end the systemic racism plaguing America.

Slavery was followed by Jim Crow, segregation, voting suppression, redlining, divestment in Black communities, and a discriminatory criminal injustice system. Addressing these historical and current inequities takes political will and changing who holds power in government.

HER Time was founded with the purpose of electing candidates who reflect the people. Under the right leadership, we can make lasting systemic change in America. We must still do more, however, to invest in and uplift Black women candidates.

In honor of Juneteenth, we are asking that you split a donation with Color of Change, the nation's largest racial justice organization. Please make a donation of any size to help them continue the hard work of advancing racial justice.

Thank you for your support and taking action.

Sincerely,

HER Time
