Just toss it

Patriot,

Washington, D.C. is known for one crisis after another.

When Israel and Iran started lobbing bombs and missiles at each other, the so-called “Big, Beautiful Bill” was in the rearview mirror and forgotten by many.

America moved onto the crisis of the day and whatever was causing outrage yesterday – Joe Biden’s mental competence when he was in the White House, the real effects of the COVID vaccine and the coverup, war in Ukraine, and the “Big, Beautiful” bill – were buried on page 12 of the newspapers.

Now that a war with Iran appears to be on hold for the moment, the U.S. Senate is quietly pivoting back to the “Big, Beautiful” spending bill that will step on the gas as we approach the fiscal cliff.

(In fact, one strongly suspects key U.S. Senators were withholding their votes on the spending bill until Donald Trump bombed Iran.)

When the BBB passed the House by just one vote, most representatives voted for it without ever taking the time to read it and find out what was in it.

One representative, Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) complained she didn’t realize the bill contained an odious prohibition against states regulating artificial intelligence for the next ten years.

And Speaker Mike Johnson even made changes to the bill after the fact and used procedural moves to avoid another vote.

Well, the BBB has now gone through a vast array of amendments in the U.S. Senate, plus rulings by the Senate parliamentarian, stripping out many things we supported (such as selling federal lands and the REINS Act), but keeping many things we oppose (such as the aforementioned attack on states’ rights over AI).

Most crucially, it could be tomorrow night or later before the parliamentarian finishes ruling on whether major tax provisions, including some measures at the very heart of the domestic policy bill, pass muster under the budget rules GOP lawmakers want to use to pass their bill with a simple majority.

In other words, they’re going to try and pass another giant bill they haven’t read and don’t understand – again.

Tell your U.S. Senators: NO “big, beautiful, spending bill” – go back to the drawing board.

The reason the Senate parliamentarian is throwing out so many provisions of the BBB is because so many of them are not even budget related.

Somehow, Republicans expect us to believe this is the only way they can get anything done – and why all these things the parliamentarian is striking out can’t be done.

Meanwhile, the Democrats have pledged to eliminate the filibuster the moment they get back into power and ram through every bill they please.

This entire process is an embarrassment. Tell your senators to VOTE NO and send them back to the drawing board.

Passing a giant bill “so that you can find out what is in it” is what the Democrats did when Nancy Pelosi ran the House of Representatives.

Now Republicans are selling us the same bill of goods.

It’s an insult to taxpayers, and an embarrassment that Republicans can’t get anything done.

And besides, we know the Senate bill is going to have the provision banning states from regulating AI, because neocon Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has demanded it be kept in.

They actually want the government to use AI to spy on you and profile you!

And the reason senators including Ted Cruz want to block regulations on AI, as you might have guessed, is to make themselves rich.

Reports indicate the statists tapped into their Big Tech pals to use AI to create one giant, comprehensive database on the American people – combining all of the data they've mined on you over the years.

The company creating this database, Palantir, created by a wealthy, Big Tech Republican financier, has been awarded a windfall of taxpayer-funded contracts for the Surveillance State.

So it's no surprise that all of a sudden, Republicans are not concerned about the privacy implications of building an AI-powered database with personal data and information on every single American citizen.

Patriot, no administration, Democrat or Republican, can be trusted with your private, personal information.

The entire premise of warrantless mass surveillance is it entitles the government to spy on you, profile you, and target you for your politics and beliefs, without ever having any reason to do so.

Giving the government unfettered access to a massive database on you and your family without the ability for a state to put in restrictions is so dangerous.

And banning states from regulating AI is just one provision in this gigantic bill, this “big, beautiful” disaster. The bill isn’t in its final form yet.

So while statist Republicans who lobbied for this disastrous war with Iran tell you to “trust the plan,” you should be demanding your U.S. Senators vote NO and REJECT these Washington schemes.

After you send your directive to your U.S. Senators, please make a donation to Campaign for Liberty to help us prevent this legislation from passing – because by the time we find out what’s in it, it might be too late.

And we know what’s already in it that’s bad enough:

* Trillions of dollars of national debt
* Warrantless mass surveillance of Americans
* Raising the spending on high-tax states to bail out their own fiscal irresponsibility (the so-called “SALT”)
* A 5 TRILLION DOLLAR boost to the debt ceiling so most sitting members of Congress won’t have to deal with constituents on this issue for quite a while

And what won’t be in the bill, thanks to the parliamentarian, only makes it that much worse:

* A version of the REINS Act, which would limit the authority of the White House to issue new regulations without congressional approval IS OUT
* Language barring illegal aliens from receiving welfare payments IS OUT
* Cutting funding for the rogue “Consumer financial protection bureau” IS OUT
* Selling public lands IS OUT
* Cutting red tape on oil and gas projects IS OUT

The big spending bill is just getting uglier and uglier. Tell your U.S. Senators to vote NO!

And if you can, please support Campaign for Liberty with a contribution to help us fight this battle in the Senate.

With your support, we can reach even more people and generate even more calls, emails, and e-postcards before it’s too late.

So if possible, please make your contribution to Campaign for Liberty right away.

Whether it’s $100, $200, or even just $50 or $25, every bit will help us generate more pressure.

P.S. The House already passed the “One Big, Beautiful Bill Act” by just one vote, with lawmakers not even knowing it included a provision to ban the regulation of artificial intelligence.

But now the entire thing is being rewritten in the U.S. Senate… for the worse.

Tell your U.S. Senators to vote NO – and return to passing legislation the American people can read before voting on it!
