Abortion restrictions don’t just impact people seeking abortions. They delay miscarriage care. They block access to life-saving treatment. They force doctors to consult lawyers before treating patients. National research conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation shows that a majority of OBGYNs say that the reversal of Roe has worsened their ability to manage pregnancy-related emergencies.
Abortion bans have fundamentally changed the standard of care for all pregnant patients in this country, whether they are seeking an abortion or not.
