TELL CONGRESS: Iran just launched missiles at U.S. bases in Qatar in response to the illegal war that Trump started. And more innocent civilians will be put in grave danger as these hostilities escalate. Sign the petition: No U.S. war with Iran!
Moments ago, in response to the illegal war that Trump started over the weekend, Iran launched missiles at a U.S. base in Qatar. More than 860 people have already been killed by Israeli strikes in Iran, with another 3,400 wounded.1 And the escalating tensions — as a DIRECT result of Netanyahu and Trump’s reckless aggression, including open calls for regime change2 — are going to put even more people in danger. Sen. Bernie Sanders, Sen. Tim Kaine, and Rep. Ro Khanna are leading the charge in Congress to stop U.S. involvement in war with Iran. And a vote on a war powers resolution to stop the war could happen in the Senate this week. We must start pressuring our leaders NOW before Trump’s war spirals further out of control. Sign the petition: Congress must stop Trump and Netanyahu’s war with Iran. Trump and his cronies spent the last two years promising “no new wars.” This was obviously and unsurprisingly a blatant lie. Now we are once again on a dangerous path to another forever war in the Middle East. Congress has the power to stop this before the bloodshed and suffering ramps up even more. First, they must pass the war powers resolution introduced by Sen. Tim Kaine.3 Then, they must pass the same war powers resolution introduced in the House by Rep. Ro Khanna.4 Failure to do so will send us careening toward a violent, needless, and costly quagmire abroad — like Iraq and Afghanistan before it. Thanks for taking action, Sources:
