Want proof? Just ask Gordon Young. At 62, this Vermonter is back in
the saddle-mountain biking daily and grinning ear to ear.
Thanks to a new community forest just minutes from his door,
he's spending the summer exploring fresh trails-and
helping put it on the map as a destination for bikers near and
far.

Trust for Public Land recently helped protect 734 acres near
Gordon's home in Wolcott, Vermont. Soon, this once-private land
will host a 5-mile trail network designed for mountain bikers of all
levels-from curious beginner to seasoned pros.
Even better? It's next to the local elementary school, so
teachers can easily take students outside for science lessons, reading
time, and creative exploration!
And it's not just Vermont. From the red rock canyons of Utah to
Portland, Oregon, and Chattanooga, Tennessee, communities are riding
the mountain biking wave-and reaping the rewards: tourism, jobs,
trails, and conservation wins.
Get the inside scoop on how this adrenaline-fueled pastime is
transforming towns (and cities) across the country-with help
from Trust for Public Land.

It's a wheely good story.
