Cows take over British hotel's closed beer garden

A British hotel and restaurant temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic shared a video of their beer garden being overrun by some unusual premature customers — a herd of cows. "We wondered if they thought they had herd immunity," said the restaurant's owner.

Kid Rock’s Nashville bar temporarily loses beer permit over COVID-19 violations

Kid Rock’s Nashville bar had its beer permit temporarily yanked for breaking a city COVID-19 health order, a report said. Under phase two of the city’s reopening plan, bars are only permitted to serve patrons at tables and booths. A photo of the venue posted to Instagram last weekend showed a packed crowd ignoring physical distancing guidelines and bellying up the bar.

Kroger says demand easing after stockpiling

“Customers are still stocking up, but to a lesser degree than during the shutdowns ... We do expect sales to continue to taper as the quarter progresses,” said Kroger's Chief Financial Officer Gary Millerchip. Digital sales skyrocketed 92% in the first quarter, compared with the previous quarter’s 22% increase, as more consumers opted for Kroger’s delivery and pickup services.
