Dear John,
Each day we’re nearing the end of the wire of this year’s session. The Legislature will adjourn by June 29th or possibly sooner. With the climate and environmental attacks we’re seeing at the federal level, this session is critical for our state to deliver on our environmental values. Will you show your support of our priority bills for a healthy Oregon now for these final days of session? [[link removed]]

I’m happy to report that the POWER Act ( HB 3546 [[link removed]] ), one of our priorities in the Energy Affordability and Utility Accountability package, recently passed and is now headed to the Governor’s desk to be signed into law! We’re still working hard to get One Stop Shop 2.0 ( HB 3081 [[link removed]] ) and Get the Junk Out of Rates ( SB 88 [[link removed]] ) across the finish line before session ends but time is running out.
Safeguarding Streamflows to Protect Oregon’s Water ( SB 427 [[link removed]] ) was one of our priority bills this session and would have been the most significant progress for Oregon’s streams and rivers in decades. Unfortunately, the bill stalled in the Senate Rules Committee. However, we’ve since pivoted to support SB 1153 [[link removed]] , which addresses the same problems and prohibits harm to fish. SB 1153 is an important step forward in modernizing our water laws and we are pleased to see tribal consultation as part of this bill. Nevertheless, it will still take a big effort to get it across the finish line as it is currently stuck in the legislature.
After a long wait, the transportation package ( HB 2025 [[link removed]] ) finally dropped a couple weeks ago. While it includes several investments that we advocated for, it does not include everything necessary to meet the needs of our communities and to achieve our climate goals. However, a new amendment has been added to the bill which would provide funds for investments in transportation electrification and community paths and help us meet some of our goals but that amendment is not likely to move forward and the package does not currently move us forward on climate.
Make an urgent donation now and help us get our priorities across the finish line! [[link removed]] [link removed] [[link removed]]
This session has been a whirlwind, but we haven’t let up in the fight for a healthy Oregon. In these final crunch days, we’re going above and beyond to assure that we can get our priorities across the finish line. We can't afford to let up this session and let Oregon backslide.
To get the job done and keep this strong momentum going, we need one more thing: your support. Will you make a contribution of any amount today, so that we can end this session strong? [[link removed]]

The clock is ticking on this session, but we’re not going anywhere until we get our priorities across the finish line. We can’t do this without you! [[link removed]]
Thank you for your support,
