It will take all of us to reject right-wing extremism
Hi friend,
The Congressional Black Caucus has long been known as the Conscience of Congress, and as its Chair, I know just how significant our collective voices are in defeating Trump.
The President and his extremist allies are leading this country down a dangerous path paved with fascism, white nationalism, and cruelty masquerading as policy.
They’re not hiding it anymore. They’re embracing it. From Project 2025 to their attacks on our civil rights, reproductive freedom, and immigrant communities, this movement is about consolidating power and silencing opposition — especially Black voices like mine.
But I won’t back down, friend.
Instead, I’m organizing with my colleagues in the Congressional Black Caucus and our allies in the Congressional Hispanic and Asian Pacific American Caucuses to defend democracy.
I’m pushing back against Project 2025 and its dystopian vision for our country that is already taking shape – in hearings, in the press, and on the House floor.
I’m building a coalition in Brooklyn and beyond to mobilize our communities in defiance of fascism and reject extremism.
Yvette Clarke is the ONLY Black woman representing New York in Washington. As Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, she’s brought together moderates and progressives to pass legislation that helps communities of color, low-income families, immigrants, and more. If you'd like only the most important updates, you can opt for fewer emails here, but if you don't want to keep Yvette proudly representing Brooklyn, you can unsubscribe.
