Dear John,

World Refugee Day is almost here, but we still have a long way to go before we
meet our $150,000 goal. Every dollar we raise today goes toward helping refugees
and asylum seekers meet their most urgent needs as they face mounting hardships
related to the pandemic. That’s why it’s so important to meet this critical
goal.

Right now, HIAS is working day and night to make sure refugees and asylum
seekers have the support they need in this challenging time. We know you share
our deep commitment to refugees around the world – so if you are able to give
today, your gift will mean everything to those who have fled danger and
persecution in their homelands:

Please make a gift of $18 or more in honor of World
Refugee Day to support refugees and asylum seekers as they rebuild their lives
in freedom and safety during this difficult time.

[[link removed]]Right now, with 79.5 million people around the world displaced by violence and
persecution, the scale of the problem is daunting. In 16 countries, our teams
are working around the clock to provide refugees and asylum seekers with
one-on-one counseling, legal assistance and other vital services. We’re lobbying
for legal protections on behalf of those seeking asylum. And we’re providing
emergency cash to make sure refugees can afford to pay rent and put food on the
table.

But our work depends on having the resources needed to support the millions of
families who have left everything behind in search of safety, stability and
freedom – and right now, time is rapidly running out to close the gap on this
must-hit goal. That’s why we hope you’ll consider making a gift today:

If you are able, pitch in $18 or more in honor of World
Refugee Day to make sure refugees and asylum seekers fleeing unimaginable danger
get lifesaving support in their most urgent moments of need.
