The Alliance for Gun Responsibility Victory Fund has helped elect more than 511 candidates who champion gun safety and community-centered leadership. We know how much local races matter — for public safety, community trust, and the future of gun violence prevention.

But in one recent sheriff’s race here in Washington, we came up short — by fewer than 8,000 votes. Spending $5,000 to $10,000 more could have made the difference between winning and losing.
