When War's On The Table ⚠️

<[link removed]>

The world feels pretty dadgum scary right now, doesn’t it?

Iran has it out
<[link removed]> for
Israel (our strongest ally and the only real democracy in the Middle East)
because they hate everything nations like ours stand for.

Israel and America share a commitment to freedom, the rule of law, fair
elections, and basic human rights. Iran? It’s run by terrorists who would love
nothing more than to wipe both of us off the map. That’s why we work closely
with Israel on security and strategy—we’ve got each other’s backs on the
freedom front.

But here’s the thing: I don’t take talk of war
<[link removed]>
lightly.

On one hand, Iran can’t be allowed to have nuclear weapons
<[link removed]>
. That’s a line we cannot let them cross—plain and simple. I also believe
Israel has every right to defend itself, and it has handled a great deal on its
own, which is commendable.

But on the other hand, our American men and women in uniform shouldn’t be sent
to war withoutcareful consideration
<[link removed]>
by our leaders.

My daughter just turned 18 last week. I think about her every time the idea of
a full-fledged war comes up. During World War II, my daddy fought and my mama
flew a plane. They were the lucky ones who made it home and built a life. But
my Uncle Roy didn’t get that chance. He laid down his life overseas, and I’ll
never forget how my mama cried every time she heard the National
Anthem—thinking about the brother she lost.

I know the cost. That’s why I take this so seriously. The cold, hard truth is:
Old men make decisions and young men die.

We’ve got to be strong, smart, and strategic about this.

President Trump understands that balance better than anyone else on the world
stage, and I wholeheartedly trust him and his cabinet to make the right
decision.

Quality Time In TN 🇺🇲

Summer is prime time for road trips—and it’ll be no different here on Team
Burchett. When I’m not with the swamp monsters in Washington, chances are, I’ll
be headed to a special event in the Volunteer State. This week, I spoke to the
Nashville Republican Women
<[link removed]> and paid a visit to the
Claiborne County Freedom Dinner
<[link removed]>. Both events gave me
opportunities to meet more conservative folks who make Tennessee the greatest
place to live.
