Meanwhile, families across Illinois are dealing with crushing property taxes, rising grocery bills, and shrinking savings.

And here’s the kicker: Pritzker’s reckless budget depends on a $700 million tax hike to keep the lights on. Working families pay more, so illegal migrants can get more.

The budget Pritzker rammed through? A 3,400-page monstrosity that not one Democrat had time to fully read. It was dropped on lawmakers’ desks just hours before the vote. It totals $55.2 billion—the largest in state history and was passed in the dead of night with no accountability or transparency.

This is what one-party rule gets us: secrecy, recklessness, and a total disregard for working Illinoisans. While Democrats sweep funds and squeeze every last dime out of taxpayers, they stall property tax relief and fail to protect economic opportunity.

That’s why they’re being sued by our Senate Republicans for the way this shady budget was forced through.
