Alana has been taking action since
2020. For the last five years, she has organized a yoga benefit class
at her local yoga studio in Salem, Massachusetts. She started shortly
after losing her mother, Dolores, to Alzheimer's.

"Watching [my mother] decline was one of the hardest things
I've ever had to deal with, especially having to explain it to my
daughter," she said. "I would love nothing more than to see a cure for
Alzheimer's in my daughter's lifetime."
