John,
Trump’s new travel ban officially went into effect this past Monday.
Now, people from 19 countries, most of them in Africa and the Middle East, are banned or severely restricted from entering the U.S. This reckless and racist ban is tearing families apart. Our country is turning away refugees. Students, workers, and loved ones are being denied entry — just because of where they’re from.
This is just the latest evidence of the GOP’s blatant racism and xenophobia. We need to do everything in our power to stop it.
We’re calling on Congress to pass the NO BAN Act, which would:
- Prohibit discrimination based on religion or nationality in immigration
- Limit presidential authority to impose broad travel bans
- Require congressional oversight of future restrictions

Trump is trying to justify this cruelty with talk of “security” and “screening,” we know this isn’t about safety. It’s about abusing his executive power to punish people for who they are, what they believe, and where they’re from.
We've seen this before during Trump’s first term. We remember the chaos at airports. The heartbreak of hundreds of thousands of families. The injustice dealt out with no recourse. Now it's happening again — and this time, it’s on an even bigger scale.
Our lawmakers need to hear from us, because:
- We won’t stand by while our neighbors are demonized.
- We won’t allow Trump to keep using fear as a weapon.
- We won’t stop until this ban is gone for good.

Thank you for taking action,
