Instead of helping our communities, Donald Trump and House Republicans are attempting to gut Medicaid and SNAP — stripping health care and food assistance from millions of families — just so billionaires can walk away with another tax break.

And while they try to ram this bill through the Senate, Republicans are also working to hand Trump even more unchecked power — the ability to ignore the courts, defy contempt orders, and operate above the law. It’s a dangerous attempt to concentrate control in the hands of one man, no matter the cost.
