This Father’s Day, I’m thinking about the man who shaped who I am today.
My dad used to tell me, “Don’t ever quit. In life, you’re gonna get knocked down. Don’t ever give up.” That mindset has stayed with me every step of the way—from chopping cotton in the Mississippi Delta, to serving in the Army, to working in the Obama White House, and now, running for U.S. Senate.
I know we can prove the pundits wrong and flip this seat. Can you take a few seconds and chip in to help make it happen please?

Dad looked the other way on a lot of things—but never on family and never on principle.
I’ll never forget the day my little brother got sick and needed to go to the ER. Dad left his plantation job to take him, only to be met with anger from the owner: “I pay you too damn much to be taking people to the doctor.” Dad rarely lost his temper—but that day, he’d had enough. We packed our things and left. His decision taught me something profound: no job is worth more than your values.
Without my father’s example, I wouldn’t be the man I am today. His lessons in integrity, hard work, and standing tall against injustice are the values I’ll carry with me to the U.S. Senate.
This is an uphill battle—but I’m not giving up.
Can you chip in today to help us build a campaign rooted in dignity, courage, and Delta values?
