Happy Father’s Day, John! 

I’m thinking of my dad today, who’s a big reason why I decided to enter public service in the first place. He passed away in 2020, but I still use the lessons he taught me every day. Growing up, he told me that if there wasn’t a good choice available, then I had to work harder and fight to make one. 

That’s why I’m running for Congress — to shake up a status quo that isn’t working for anyone who isn’t a billionaire and fight for a better future. 

Today, I’d also like to celebrate the best dog dad in the world — my husband, Abe. 

Abe and I rescued our dog, Kip, when he was just 3 months old. Since then, Abe has been the best dog dad you could ever ask for. From taking him on long walks to playing with him for hours on end, the love and care that Abe shows Kip day in and day out is incredible. 

I would also like to send my love, appreciation, and gratitude to all the fathers and father figures out there.
