In the “Terminator” movies, “Skynet” was an artificial intelligence network that initiates a nuclear war against humanity.
In the real world, the psychopaths in the Surveillance State found it inspiring and named a National Security Agency mass surveillance program after it.
The NSA's real SKYNET used an AI algorithm to engage in mass surveillance on Pakistan's phone system and label people “probable terrorists” based on their metadata.
Between 2,500 and 4,000 Pakistanis have been killed in drone strikes after being labeled “probable terrorists” by this computer program.
So when the government assures you that you have nothing to fear based on their profiling of you through warrantless mass surveillance, keep in mind they've already killed thousands of people based on warrantless profiling.
And now, in Donald Trump's so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill,” statists in Congress inserted a provision banning U.S. States from protecting our constitutional rights from AI algorithms.
The ban would be in effect for ten years – long enough for AI to completely transform our society, as its backers brag.
The real reason some politicians are pushing for this ban is because it might prevent the federal government from redirecting their own SKYNET on you and me, the American people.
The Deep State relishes the idea of having a MASSIVE database with data from the IRS, the Social Security Administration, the Passport Agency, the TSA, the Veterans Administration, and other government agencies . . . which all have information about YOU!
And what will stop the Deep State from collecting all of this data on you and your family and millions of innocent Americans unless someone stops them?

Tell your U.S. Senators to defend states' rights and OPPOSE the ban on AI guardrails.
Uncle Sam wants to watch your every move.
And no administration, not in the present or future, can be trusted with that kind of information and power.
