When I was a little girl, my dad used to take us to watch the Marine Corps
bands play in the parades on base.

He was a drill instructor who served 30 years in the Marines — always
sharp and serious in uniform, but on those weekends, he was just Dad.

[ [link removed] ]Deb's father served with courage as a drill instructor in the Marines
for 30 years.

Those memories are still with me. And today, on Father’s Day, I’m thinking
about everything he passed down: his courage, his love for country, his
care for family, and his love for the outdoors.

He also took me fishing and hiking when I was young, and it was on those
trips that I learned what it means to be a steward of the Earth and to
care for our natural resources, not just for ourselves, but for
generations to come.

Now, as I run to be the next governor of New Mexico, I carry my father’s
lessons with me every day, and I’m proud to have the trust and endorsement
from Common Defense and veterans from across New Mexico.

and responsibility to our communities, I hope you'll consider chipping in
$5 to help power our grassroots campaign.
