John, Father’s Day is a time for reflection—for honoring the figures who’ve shaped us and for recognizing the values they've instilled in us.

For me, it’s a day filled with memories of my adoptive father, Tom, a dedicated civil rights attorney who became my guiding star.

Baby Robert Peters and Dad

Growing up, I never knew my biological father. But I was blessed with Tom, who taught me the importance of justice, perseverance, and heart.

Our weekends were spent watching the movie Rudy, a tradition that taught me how crucial it was to try to be better every day. Rudy was more than a film for us. It was a lesson in grit—a reminder that we can overcome adversity with determination.

These values drive me as I run for Congress. Just like Rudy, I’m fighting to prove that together, we can triumph against the odds.

Together we can create policies that reflect fairness, uplift our communities, and build a future where everyone has an equal shot at success.

This Father’s Day, as I remember Dad’s belief in justice, I ask you to stand with me. Together, let's honor the legacy of all the dads who inspire us to be better. Your support is crucial as we move forward in this fight for progress and equality.

We’ll only get there though if our grassroots supporters step up. So, will you donate $27 today to help continue our journey to Congress and uphold the ideals my father instilled in me to ensure a brighter future for all families? >> ([link removed])

Robert Peters knows what it means to defy the odds. Born deaf to a mother battling addiction and raised by a social worker and a civil rights attorney on the South Side of Chicago, he learned early on what it means to fight for justice and care for the community.

That’s why he became a public servant—to build systems that work for all people.

Now, Robert is ready to take that fight to Washington and build an Illinois that works for all of us—not just the wealthy or well-connected. But he can’t do it alone.

So please, will you become a Founding Donor today and power this people-first, grassroots movement? >>
