Yesterday I went to a huge rally to stand up to Trump and the GOP’s radical agenda – and I had to reach out right away.
Donald Trump’s military parade celebrating the 250th year of the U.S. Army was yesterday — and it also conveniently happened to fall on his birthday! More than 7,000 military members and about 130 vehicles were expected to be involved, and reports estimated it would cost $45 million in taxpayer dollars. Seems to me he wants people like you to foot the bill for his over-the-top birthday party… For a president whose main goal has been to cut “wasteful” government spending, Trump seems to have no issue with the $45 MILLION price tag — even calling it “peanuts compared to the value of doing it.” So where does Donald Trump draw the line for government spending? Apparently, it’s at the cost of benefits for millions of Americans. His “Big, Beautiful Bill” cuts funding for Medicaid and SNAP, threatening millions of Americans’ access to healthcare and food assistance programs. I refuse to stand by while Trump throws a lavish birthday celebration but ignores the needs of working families.
