I’m fortunate to have a remarkable man as my father, John. He has been working to advance justice, equality, and opportunity for all Americans ever since he led his local youth NAACP chapter at 12 years old.
I’m looking forward to celebrating Father’s Day with my dad and our family this weekend and going through old pictures together -- like this one:
If you know my father, you know these are among his favorite things: playing golf, collecting turtle ephemera, and electing Democrats.
John, I know one of the best Father’s Day gifts my dad could get is a contribution from you ahead of tonight’s mid-month deadline. Every dollar goes toward helping Democrats win in places like New Jersey and Virginia this November.
My father and Democrats are fighting to protect our health care and stop Republicans from:
- Kicking millions of eligible Americans off Medicaid
- Rolling back coverage under the Affordable Care Act by eliminating tax credits that make health insurance more affordable
- Defunding Planned Parenthood and other non-profits
- Ending food assistance from seniors, veterans, and children
In other words, Democrats are working to make America’s greatness accessible and affordable to all -- but they can’t do it without supporters like you getting involved, John.
