About 8,000 people attended the “No Kings” protest in Lansing, Michigan on June 14, 2025 | Susan J. Demas

I am so inspired. You showed up yesterday — not just in big cities like New York, Chicago, and Philadelphia — but in small communities like Bastrop, Texas and Newnan, Georgia. There were millions of us across America, declaring with one voice that there are No Kings in America.

As I joined about 8,000 people in Michigan’s capital city of Lansing, dozens of others in the Lincoln Square and Lincoln Project family were honored to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with you at demonstrations across the country.

Together, we made Trump’s $45 million military birthday party look small — because it was. We showed that our commitment to a truly democratic America can’t be bought off or ignored.

Thank you for your courage, your conviction, and your dedication to a better America.

We know that the strength of our democracy lies in an informed and engaged citizenry. While Trump tries to establish American Autocracy, we know that the majority of us still believe in truth, accountability, and a government that truly serves its people, not his fragile ego or billionaire backers.

This is where Lincoln Square comes in. We know that the fight for democracy extends beyond a single day of protest. It requires ongoing vigilance, a deep understanding of the issues, and access to independent, critical analysis.

That’s what you’ll find each and every day on Lincoln Square. At a time when the corporate media is failing us, independent, pro-democracy journalism is more important than ever. We don’t have billionaire owners to appease — we are sustained by subscribers just like you — and we will never, ever bend the knee to Trump. We give you the facts on the ground, the tools to fight back, and a community where your voice can be heard.

"No Kings" protests are a testament to the enduring power of the people. To sustain that power, we need to keep building this movement of people from the left, right, and center dedicated to renewing the promise of America.

Please join our Lincoln Loyal community today and ensure you remain at the forefront of the discussions that shape our future. Together, we can become an even more powerful force for democracy.

There's Rain on Trump's Parade, but Millions from L.A. to Paris Turn out for 'No Kings' Protests

Trump’s $45 million military parade celebrating his own birthday on Saturday, June 14 looks to be a bit of a bust, between rainy weather and disappointing turnout. But the more than 2,000 “No Kings” protests across America — and overseas — have been going strong.
