Hi John,
After House Republicans passed the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” in the middle of the night — I went back home to Connecticut. And I listened.
I recently held two town halls — one in Tolland, one in Madison. Both were packed. In Madison, it was standing room only. People were fired up and demanding answers:
How could Congress pass a bill that rewrites our tax code, slashes Medicaid by $700 billion, and strips health care from 15 million Americans — all without transparency or public input?
They’re right to be angry. I’m angry too.
We’re $8,451 short of our mid-month fundraising goal — and falling behind now would mean falling short when it matters most. Can I count on you to chip in right now and help us push back?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will be processed immediately with Courtney for Congress:
The bill slashes $800 billion from Medicaid and would trigger $500 billion in automatic cuts to Medicare — punishing hospitals, seniors, and people with disabilities. And it adds as much as $5 trillion to the national debt, just to hand out more tax breaks to the top 1%.
We’re halfway to the FEC deadline, and we still need to raise $4,561 more to ensure we can keep holding events and fighting back against extremists in Washington.
Will you chip in whatever you can today?
Thank you so much for your support,
Joe Courtney
