Dear John,

With people in the streets and our "leaders" exposing themselves for what they are by their response. Our mutual aid teams in LA are essential to this moment; it is the Peace Economy at work. We look forward to gathering with you this Wednesday, June 18th to take a pause together, to return home to ourselves. Sign up here to RSVP for the gathering <[link removed]>.

For this gathering, we are happy to welcome Erin Geesaman Rabke to our call. Erin has developed a practice called,"Evolutionary Embodiment." It beautifully braids together embodiment and contemplative practices with the profound practices and anti-oppression perspectives. In Mary Oliver's poem Wild Geese, she reminds us that "you only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves." Being able to recognize and inhabit our embodied knowledge and loving what we love are potent ways to become more resilient to despair and to embody our most cherished values, while being deeply resourced to act on them. In a world cluttered with distractions and suffering, returning to our embodied experience and honoring our longing for life-giving change empowers us to experience more courage, peace, and a sense of being at home wherever we are. In turn, this supports us in fostering grounded peace and connection in our communities.

As is our habit, we will have breakouts toward the end of the call. Breakouts will not be timed, allowing for extended connections and ample time for conversation.

NOTE: An important, quick action you can take now is to spread and share this important ICE toolkit <[link removed]>on your social media and with friends and neighbors. Look out for your community by helping to keep folks informed of their rights!

P.S.  Dr. Maya Angelou once said, "I'm convinced of this: Good done anywhere is good done everywhere. For a change, start by speaking to people rather than walking by them like they are stones that don't matter. As long as you are breathing, it's never too late to do some good."
