Because of the riots in Los Angeles (and elsewhere) and the war sabers rattling in the Middle East, we pray that you and your family are safe and that President Trump can restore order while negotiating peace abroad. 

ILFC GOES TO DC

The House Oversight Committee, led by Republican Congressman James Comer (KY), held a hearing yesterday to discuss blue state sanctuary cities.  As part of those proceedings, liberal Illinois Governor JB Pritzker testified in defense of his crazy leftist policies.

Most Republican state lawmakers in Springfield would normally grumble about this while watching the hearing on TV.  

But the Illinois Freedom Caucus was not going to allow Pritzker to gaslight the committee members and the public, so they traveled to Washington to attend the hearing.  Then they held a press conference afterwards with House Freedom Caucus member, Rep. Mary Miller (IL), to expose Pritzker's lies.  

These include Pritzker claiming he has no idea how much taxpayers have been forced to spend to support illegal aliens in Illinois. The ILFC correctly reminded the public that it's $3.2 billion...and counting.

Pritzker also claimed that his administration was fully supporting ICE's efforts in his state.  Another lie.  He has told local law enforcement officers to not cooperate.

Below is a local media interview with ILFC members, State Rep. Blaine Wilhour and State Sen. Andrew Chesney.  Their message: Pritzker, who wants to run for President in 2028, is "not ready for prime time".

ANDY on WAR ROOM

I joined my old friend, former HFC member Dave Brat, on Steve Bannon's War Room earlier today.  We discussed the economic impact of potential new wars abroad and the one, big, beautiful bill (OB3).

The short answer is we are fiscally vulnerable as a nation and it's imperative that we pass the OB3 if we're going to keep the economy strong, project strength overseas, and keep inflation from ravaging our country.

And the only people standing in our way of that are Senate Republicans.

LOUISIANA

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has taken to the air waves to warn that rioters will be met with harsh opposition if they try anything in the Sunshine State.  This includes giving people legal immunity if they are caught in the middle of a riot and feel it necessary to flee in their car to safety.  

The Louisiana Freedom Caucus responded to that message to remind their own citizens that they helped pass a bill last year that does just that.  Protests are expected in multiple LA cities in the coming weeks.

WYOMING

The Deseret News out of Utah did a long profile piece about the Wyoming Freedom Caucus, but also the growing "Freedom Caucus" movement that is sweeping across the nation, built on the House Freedom Caucus's success in Washington.  Key excerpt:

The State Freedom Caucus Network (SFCN) was a natural next step for the House’s Freedom Caucus as an expansion of its ideals into state government. Both are part of the same greater organization, focused on providing resources to help win electoral power at both the state and federal levels.

As of this year, 13 different state houses have Freedom Caucuses, and the hope is to bring them to all 50. Andy Roth, the president of the State Freedom Caucus Network, said Wyoming is a “case study of how a Freedom Caucus can execute its mission perfectly.”

Jessie Rubino started as the Wyoming state director for the SFCN in 2021 and, in the past four years, she’s helped the caucus grow from six members to eight, then to 16, then 26, and now 36.

Beware - this article is not a puff piece.  There are plenty of quotes from liberal Republicans, especially WY Governor Mark Gordon, complaining about the Wyoming Freedom Caucus's influence, but it's still a relatively accurate account of the situation.  Read it here.
