Democrats have been sounding the alarm on the worst of the worst parts of Trump’s big, ugly budget bill lately: How it would kick millions of people off of Medicaid, shutter hospitals, eliminate SNAP benefits for families, and result in the largest transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich in American history.

It’s an abomination. But wait, it gets worse.

I want to talk about four dangerous provisions that the GOP has snuck into this spending plan.

1: It would defund Planned Parenthood, which will gut health care nationally and create a backdoor national abortion ban — even in states where abortion is protected.

2: It would slash taxes and restrictions on purchasing gun silencers, making it easier for criminals to access them and ensuring our society is less safe.

3: It would bar states from regulating AI, which could enable real estate companies and landlords to hike up rents across the country.

4: It would stop courts from holding Trump officials in contempt for ignoring court orders, gutting their ability to ensure Trump follows the law.

I am not going to let them get away with this. I’ll keep sounding the alarm on these sneaky additions to the spending bill — and continue making it clear that the health care and food assistance cuts are all going to help billionaires make even more billions.

We still have a chance to stop this plan from passing. And I’m going to use every tool I have to get the Senate to kill this bill. If — and only if — you’re able, please pitch in $28 or anything you can to fuel our fight.
