Friend, what a stupid birthday stunt.

Donald Trump is spending $45 million in taxpayer money for a birthday party with tanks and flyovers, so he can feel special.

Read that again: he and Republicans are stealing from us to waste millions on the glorification of one insecure man’s massive ego.

This is outrageous, tinpot dictator behavior. And we don’t bend to the knee to kings in America.

Don’t let anyone tell you this is about patriotism. Real patriotism isn’t cutting benefits from our veterans – those men and women who defended our freedoms – or taking food benefits out of the mouths of their grandchildren.

If Trump or national Republicans were committed to doing the jobs we swore an oath to – helping out our neighbors every day – they’d understand that.

So if you’re like me, vent. Maybe go to a rally and peacefully protest. And come tomorrow, let’s all say: Enough of this nonsense, let’s make lives better for the American people.
